After the Rain

Hey guys! Its been a hot minute since I blogged! I am sorry I have been totally MIA but I have been really busy with homework, tests, and finals… so basically school. Hopefully I will be able to blog more but I guess we will see.

Story time… These pictures were taken after the whole rain period (in Cali). As usual they are sunset pictures because sunsets are quite literally my life. (Let me know if you are totally over sunsets and I’ll for sure write about other stuff lol) Anyways, the story behind how I got these pictures is because I was forced to go out for my mom and we were outside a CVS and I saw the sunset while face timing my friend and I had to take a picture.

They sunsets recently have been so beautiful her in SoCal that it was impossible for me to not take pictures. I hear if you go up to the LA skyline, everything was so clear because of the rain. Sadly all of the smog covered it up, but we are getting more rain soon and hopefully it will be clear again. It is literally a sight to see… the mountains are so clear and have so much snow, it is absolutely magnificent.

Just look at the beautiful reddish pink in the clouds and the ombre -ish thing going on with the beautiful, clear, blue sky going into the pink clouds that are so fluffy. Then the color goes into a darker, more rain cloudy, purple -ish color. Lastly, the background is like a reflection of all of the colors. Also the silhouettes of the lamp posts, trees, and the houses that are the base of the picture just ties it all together. It honestly looks so surreal, like can something so simple look so beautiful… apparently so.

All of the details put together with the simplicity of sunsets just makes the picture so much more beautiful. Pictures like these are the ones that really remind me that a picture is literally mean a thousand words. It reminds me why I love taking pictures and why I want to share my perspective with people.

To me these pictures show the simplicity of the world but how amazing this seems to us. It is a regular occurrence to the world but to humans it is something so magnificent. If we go more scientific, molecules and small particles in the atmosphere change the direction of light rays, causing them to scatter. Scattering affects the color of light coming from the sky, but the details are determined by the wavelength of the light and the size of the particle. The sunset color is determined by something way beyond our reach and is even regular for nature, but no matter how many times I see it, it will always be the most beautiful thing.

Well, that’s it for this time! I’ll see ya’ll in my next post. Bye!!
